"Wheel CD Review"

Stan Silver was born in New York and has been working as a live/studio musician in various bands and studios for many years.
Living in Daytona Beach, Fla. as a kid is where he must have been infused with that southern "twang" that is still in his blood. Growing up listening to all time great bands/songwriters such as Neil Young, Paul Simon and The Rolling Stones, just to name a few, is by who he was mainly influenced. But there was never a time where he wanted to copy or sound like any of his heroes. So he´ll mix Country, Rock´n`Roll, Folk and Pop all together to create his songs. The chance to collaborate with songwriters like Cande de Rouge (writer of "Power of Love" recorded by Jennifer Rush & Celin Dion) and Peter Hoffmann (Falco) was a very intense experience. Spending time in New York working with long time friend George Gesner of Prism Escape Music and Blue November Rec. has also led to some great songs.

After writing and/or producing music for other artists with releases on mayor and indie labels in Germany he´s now come to the point where he´s concentrating on his own music. The need to explore different genres of music makes it impossible for him to stick to only one style. This advantage makes his music versitile and very exciting. He´ll take his audience from a country song through raggae to a rock song without a care. The recent highlights were performances at "Kulak´s Woodshed" and "Café Bellissimo" in Los Angeles and at "CBGB" in New York. Some of the highlights in Germany include performances in Berlin, Munich and Nuremberg. He´s been a regular at "Songwriters Live" (a Nashville style songwriters event).

Stan Silver´s songs "Higher Ground", "Come Back Home" & "Angel Tonight" are being picked up by more and more Internet Radio stations in the USA, Canada, UK and Germany. "Higher Ground" was put on heavy rotation on Toronto´s "That´s Country-The Country Edge" and peaked at #5 on the stations "Radio Wave Charts" a few weeks ago.
