"Star Chamber Press Quotes"

“THIS BAND HAVE MORE HOOKS THAN A FISHERSMAN'S TIN”
James Adkin, Kooba Radio

“Star Chamber are already living up to their name as an act of nothing less than star quality. Their new release Something That She Said is a corker of a track that propels quite magically from start to finish”
Tiff Woosley, TSM Radio

"Star Chamber possess the ability to leap from harmony to hardcore in a matter of seconds; carrying the crowd with them…these guy’s certainly have their feet firmly on the path to bigger and better things."
Play Music Magazine

"Big night out tunes in the best tradition of alternative music and 60s powerpop. Knock through a few walls of sound, let in a little light and this chamber could be a great place for a party"
VODAFONE LIVE MUSIC magazine

"Reminds me of a mixture between Muse, Keane and the Guillemots. Really like the song "Landmarks"- it’s simple, catchy and easy to listen to. I definitely would play this on my show. They sound pretty versatile as well so thumbs up."
Burst Radio
"Lead singer Allan Bradbury has a soaring arena-worthy voice and sings lyrics with what feels like a four year old's diction. BRIGHT FUTURE PREDICTED."
New Noise

"With storming choruses and melodic back lines, star chamber will enhance
your day considerably!"
First Live Music Magazine

“Everybody needs a bit of Star Chamber in their life.”
Roschan Thomas, Pulse Unsigned Radio
"An infectious, bass driven stomper that has the melody to take it a long way. One listen and you'll be humming this single when you least expect it."
Phil Harrison, BBC Radio Kent
A refreshingly compelling alternative to much of the overplayed, "glossy music" being broadcast at the moment. It's a song that catches you unawares: you will find yourself humming the tune and then wondering where you heard it! Deserves recognition”
Will Stapley Burst Radio
Splattering across your audio-windscreen like the Jeff Goldblum fly-hybrid
of The Upper Room and The Feeling, Star Chamber have an indie head
combined with a 70's-throwback body. Far from being an abhoration though,
'Landmarks' is a thing of beauty with 16 beat drums and a shimmer of
gentle guitars that build up to a Captain-esque chorus.

'Relationship Wreck' is another great track with a bit of stomp, plenty of
harmonies and nice contrast between the verse, chorus and
quiet-bit-in-the-middle.

Star Chamber sound like a Brighton band, not at all like a band located
along the Thames. They have a great refreshing sound that hints at more
open (and mainly cleaner) waters!

"A great bunch of musicians who are not scared of doing something different from the
rest of the indie sheep."

"The audience went wild when headline band Star Chamber tried to leave the stage at
their sell out gig at The Fly! One of the most exciting live bands to emerge in
2008! Mark, RSW Concerts "
The Fly, London April 08

""Star Chamber are able to effortlessly mix an energetic stomp through tracks
like "Get Down", to lighter/softer songs like "Landmarks", to the punchy
"Bella", though still maintaining their trademark hooks and melody lines, of
which there are plenty for the fans to sing along to. The infectious
"Where's My Joy" and "Something That She Said" provides an added flavour and
has 'potential hit' stamped all over it! Definitely a band to watch out for
in the future!".
Stuart Robb, Jam Central Records July '08

Bio

Star Chamber began the Summer of 2008 in true style by headlining the BBC introducing stage at Sellindge Festival. Having just had their latest tracks mixed by the highly prestigious New York producer Mark Plati (David Bowie, Prince, The Cure) they appeared at a number of events over the following months including the Harlequin Theatre in Surrey with Ghost Of A Thousand on 7th June, Sellindge Festival headlined by Idlewild also on 7th June, The University of Cambridge Summer Ball with I Am Kloot and Palladium on 18th June before flying out to the south of France the next day to play the Fete de la Musique in Nice. On return from Nice they headlined the Underworld in Camden and were chosen to play Zoo Thousand and Eight Music Festival on 5th and 6th of July along with major movers and shakers Mark Ronson, The Cribs, Ash and The Hives to name a few.

There are exciting things on the horizen for the Gravesend band who have already headlined sell out shows at The Fly and The Water Rats this year and played at the Radio 1 Big Weekend Fringe Festival and had their single played on BBC 6 Music.

Star Chamber are working on something big right now so be ready. The Resistance is coming...
