Biography

STARDUST offers a wide range of entertainment possibilities, from a complete 1940’s jazz club ‘immersion experience’ to a set of adult contemporary classics that includes standards, original material and new arrangements of old favorites.

Jeff Willoughby has performed in nearly 5,000 shows as the bassist for Hybrid Ice, one of Pennsylvania’s foremost bands in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, playing up and down the Eastern Seaboard at a variety of venues. He has been performing with Rebecca Willoughby as an acoustic duo for eight years.

STARDUST performs at restaurants, country clubs, corporate events, WWII reenactments, clubs and other venues.

STARDUST’s dinner and stage “The Greatest Generation” show uses costuming, stage props and instruments unique to the music that kept our country going in difficult times. Standards of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s are performed in a jazz club style with acoustic guitar and vocals, and can be enhanced with adult beverage and menu suggestions from the era (material provided by the band at the venue's request).

Because Jeff and Rebecca are also Living History representatives, every detail is as authentic as possible, providing a unique listening AND visual experience great for dinner shows, special events, air shows, and Veteran’s appreciation activities.

STARDUST’s more contemporary set list (see Set List-PENDING) includes adult contemporary acoustic rock and singer/songwriter classics, standards, original songs, and new arrangements of old favorites. The set-up, sound system and lighting, is self-contained, small and efficient, and is suitable for most any casual dining atmosphere.

Jeff and Rebecca Willoughby also own and maintain Swinging From the Trees Music Publishing, an ASCAP affiliated company, and appear courtesy of Pilot Records.

I Know What She's Looking For

She turns the radio on, and sings along,
When she's alone
And she picks up her makeup and puts on the face
We've all come to know
And she's tired right now from working all day
But it's Friday night and she'll be okay
When the taxi comes to take her away
To find what she's looking for

I always ask her 'bout her day, "good or bad?"
And she plays along
I slide her a drink across the bar
As the jukebox plays her song
She sees someone she knows
Who brings a smile to her face
But it hides a hurt even years can't erase
And the promise he made her now seems out of place
'Cause I know what she's lookin' for

And I dream of the day
I can take her away from this story that never ends.
That's the day when she looks my way
'Cause she won't have to look again

She sees his glances, she assesses her chances
from across the room
It's late and we're closing, everyone's holding each other
Dancing to a last, slow tune
And he gives her a smile that melts her heart
As he walks out the door and it tears her apart
Like a hundred times before, I know what she's looking for

And I dream of the day
I can take away from this story that never ends.
That's the day when she looks my way
'Cause she won't have to look again
And she gives me a smile that melts my heart
As she walks out the door, it tears me apart
Like a hundred times before
'Cause I know what she's looking for.

Somebody Else

"SOMEBODY ELSE"

Love is a stranger to have and to hold
But his love is wicked and his heart is cold
But I'd rather be lonely
Than see him with somebody else

Lovers are happy to give and to get
But my heart is broken, forgive and forget
I can't forget him
And I can't love somebody else

Love leave me lonely and never forget
Love is the stranger that I haven't met
Someday I'll find him
Then I won't need somebody else
