Bio
It's not surprising in hearing Stella Rose (yes, that's her real name!) perform, to learn that she's from a musical family. Dad's a musician and Mom is a jazz singer and composer, so the music bug bit hard and early.
An education honed in performing arts schools and a stint at the Royal Conservatory of Music has helped develop her unique musical style. With a firm foothold in roots-rock and Canadiana music, Stella delivers a powerful performance of an eclectic collection of highly original, self-penned compositions.
Her journey into song-writing began at the tender age of eight with a little song that states that rabbits are better than hamsters which, she claims, she still remembers.
Fast forward to four years ago when a flood of new material was created, all without the benefit of owning a guitar. Fortunately, a guitar quickly emerged and being a fast learner, Stella soon mastered how to play, developing into a formidable performer and crowd pleaser. BBC Radio in the U.K. recently described her as a "wonderfully talented singer/songwriter."
