Bio

WHO AND WHERE: Born on the mean streets of East St. Louis (Illinois), these four individuals are a true testament of urban survival. “ With the stress can’t get no sleep at night…no food in the fridge; ain’t eating right…can’t see in the crib cause you have no lights” (excert lyrics from EsL Klik’s song, “When The Morning Comes”) depicts a harsh reality that lumes in the inner city of East St. Louis.

EsL Klik embellish a swift harmonizing flow that remising of the multi-platinum recording artists Bone, Thugs & Harmony. “We’re not Bone by any stretch of the imagination…we respect them for what they did, but we’re writing our own book, our own chapters; representing a movement; representing East St. Louis, the other side of the bridge” says JR who’s not only one of the lyrical power houses of the group, but produces tracks as well (i.e. Be Easy, Gone Off That Paul, Thug Lean etc).

This group is truly a diamond in the rough. Each member has there own style and identity. JR flow is quick and choppy. Frequency style has been compared to the likes of Twista, while Big Face & Prophecy has smooth melodic rhyme technique. Each artist is lethal, but together they are EsL Klik.

HERE AND NOW: Now with Every Dollar Counts Entertainment, LLC a New York based independent record label, EsL Klik is poised and ready for success. In June of 2005, Every Dollar Counts Entertainment, LLC released EsL Klik’s mixtape album “Life Over The Bridge” in order to promote the group on a national basis. This promotional campaign is ongoing and Every Dollar Counts Entertainment, LLC anticipates in establishing a loyal fan base as it prepares to release the group’s debut album.

EsL Klik is currently working on their debut album “Where We From” which is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2006.
