Biography

The horror of institutionalizing one's life due to fear or insecurity, whether by religion, university, or the institution of laziness, is a driving theme in the music of starmachines. Life as many of us know it has become so dense and chaotic that it's sometimes difficult to find lucidity in the core reasons we not only plan our futures, but wake up, persist, engage in human connections and challenge ourselves to push what little potential we truly have. But somewhere, buried in the mess of our societal machinery, there is still a sense and a beauty -- even if that sense is senseless and that beauty is ugly -- a magnificent human error and a reminder from our Collective Consciousness that it's okay to indulge in the honesties of life, however dreadful or pleasant they might be. Because after we ride this freak show for all it's worth, of the greater injustices would be the apathy in understanding it.

Direct musical influences include Rotersand, [:SITD:], Nine Inch Nails, and Ferry Corsten.

Starmachines is still incubating, but is here til death. We can hardly wait to take off, but in the meantime, check out our demo.

Lyrics

Lost And Longing

Written By: David Chamberlin

(Verse 1)
Is this home when I can't feel? I can't heal. My silence is real another year, a year to find, bound to a year behind.

(Verse 2)
Is this home when I can't feel, can't heal? Your love is lost and severe, and killing me. My dreams are mine to find alone.

(Chorus)
Seek out, figure out what it means to live and breathe inspiration on your own terms. And see how to feel proud of what makes you, what defends you in your failures to succeed.

Catalyst Collapse

Written By: David Chamberlin

(Verse 1)
I run away, I throw away, I sever consequence. I fall away, I fade away, indulge in emptiness. I run away, miss you. I throw away, kiss you. I seek the ways I suffer. I violate to have you. I fall away to reach you. I ask for pain but don't ask why.

(Verse 2)
I fade away, I waste away, I shatter consciousness. I elevate, I resonate, I rise on my collapse. I seek warm destructions, I need pain to function, I separate and sever. I misuse your abuse. I find faith without truth. I violate to respect you.

(Chorus)
Why can't we turn back after our every victories collapse? How can we reject our pride of miseries, of fantasies intact?

Far From Atmospheres

Written By: David Chamberlin

(Verse 1)
After all falls apart, every second resonates far from atmospheres corrupted and abused. I walk alone on familiar, on rejected ways of life, far from atmospheres of worlds left overturned to forget.

(Verse 2)
Through it all, lives undone, with every lesson timelines fall, fall by fragile hearts entangled and immune. And walk alone on foundations, on destructions far from home, far from atmospheres, far from home.
