Stars Are Projectors

Our band started out innocently enough. We all became friends early in high school, and found out that our music tastes were similar. We also all played guitar or bass, and decided that playing cheap electric guitars loudly in a garage would be a fun afternoon. Fast forward through high school; one guitarist became our drummer, countless nights were spent practicing, and several attempts were made to make a demo tape. However, it wouldn't be until college that we made a serious effort at being a "band, dude." We play music because we love it.

We draw on several different bands and genres for influence; when asked what kind of music we play we usually respond with, "90's alternative rock (like Built to Spill and Radiohead) filtered through post-rock (a la GY!BE/Tortoise), garnished with hints of shoegaze and psychedelia (My Bloody Valentine, Deerhunter)."
