Bio

Stars Go Cold is an anomaly in indie rock. Instead of following the trend of being "screamo", this band forges their own path in songwriting. Conformity is a crime and originality is priceless. They play rock the way it was meant to be. From melodies that will break your heart to anthems that will leave you feeling like you've just been punched in the stomach, Stars Go Cold will bring the rock. They are guaranteed not to play covers or your money back.

The band recently worked with producer Ed Rose on their upcoming release, “These Ghosts Speak to Me.” According to Rose, “If you like up-tempo guitar rock you’ll dig it.”

Stars Go Cold has showcased their brand of rock while opening for numerous national acts including MXPX, Hawthorne Heights, Hawk Nelson, Falling Up, Quiet Drive, He Is Legend, Down to Earth Approach, This Providence, Spitalfield, A Change of Pace, and Sherwood. The band has also toured regionally and has played venues such as The Grenada in Lawrence, Ks and the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City.

Stars Go Cold consists of life-long friends Phil Graves on bass, Isaac Stanfield on lead guitar and vocals, Matt Bollenbach on guitar, and Zack Morgan on drums. They are from the Wichita, Kansas area and formed in the spring of 2003. They are all self taught musicians who cut their teeth on the local scene. Having a passion for music is the driving force behind this band that is setting new standard for rock. Their influences are bands like Weezer, Further Seems Forever, Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, Something Corporate, and many others. They feel like their style is an amalgamation of these into "just good rock." The hope is that people will like it because they love it.
