First on the bill of a great night of pure rock were Star Turtle. Star Turtle were by far the most melodic act of the night. Some of the guitar riffs were so perfectly distorted I found myself looking for a synth. Star Turtle wouldn't sound out of place on the soundtrack of the O.C. These guys are reminiscent of early 90s college bands that thrived in the states. No offence lads we like you here, but pack your bags and head stateside and I promise you will tug on the heart strings of many an idealistic college student. Good stuff though. - Drop-D.ie
