Static March is a great new band from Phoenix AZ, with a sound that is refreshing and different than what you hear from most bands these days. With a strong focus on songwriting and an ear for creating unique yet catchy melodies, there's no reason why StaticMarch won't be the next Kings of Leon.

Biography

Static March is a three-piece Alternative/Indie Rock band formed in September 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. Their sound and style have been compared to bands such as Incubus, Muse, Death Cab for Cutie and Kings of Leon. The Strmic Brothers make up the rock solid rhythm section with Josh on drums and James on bass and long-time friend Nick Jensen fronts the group with his powerful vocals and raw guitar playing.

The current line-up of Static March is the remaining three members of the former band Five High. As Five High, they had the privilege of opening up for The Fray at the 2007 Tempe Music Festival where other bands such as O.A.R., Yellow Card, Cowboy Mouth and Everclear performed. Also as Five High, they performed and headlined at many major venues around the Southwest. Static March looks forward to going above and beyond these successes and is very excited to see what the future has in store.

On July 17th, 2010, Static March released their debut EP, "All At Once," featuring 6 new songs produced by Cory Spotts (Greeley Estates, Job For A Cowboy, The Maine, Bless The Fall) Keep your eyes open and stay tuned as many new and exciting things will be happening for Static March in 2010.

Lyrics

Swept Away

Written By: Static March

1st Verse
Open up your eyes
If you could see inside
You’re not the only one
That’s come to hide

Chorus
Calling out your name
Turning spark to flame
Lights go down and you will find
It’s all been swept away

2nd Verse
Like a neon light
Your eyes burn so bright
Crawl out from the mess you made
Don’t turn away

Chorus
Calling out your name
Turning spark to flame
Lights go down and you will find
It’s all been swept away

Bridge
And I know
What you are, where you go
Yea I know, you’ve lost control

Chorus
Calling out your name
Turning spark to flame
And I know
Lost control
Yea I know
It’s all been swept away

Undone

Written By: Static March

1st Verse
Fall out from in
Words burn like fire beneath your skin
And everything you know can’t be found
Now you’re on your own, sinking down

Pre-Chorus
Who would tell you how
Oh and who would save you now

Chorus
Looking for where to run
When it all comes undone

2nd Verse
Thoughts of a life
Tangled in your mind, cut like a knife
Tearing up a hole you’ll never fill
Barely holding on, against your will
Chorus
Looking for where to run
When it all comes undone

Better Off

Written By: Static March

1st Verse
Coming down, but a little too late
Falling in and out of place
I just don’t know why

So we dance in the fiery night
Holding back those words inside
I just don’t know why

Shake it up and spit it out
We are better off without
I just don’t know why

Chorus
Tell me, how far will we go
To find the answer we already know
Cuz you saw it, the minute
I came around this broken town

Bridge
Hold on
We’ve known this all along
Oooooooooooooo
We’ve seen this going wrong
We’ve been lying
We’ve been dying

Chorus
Tell me, how far will we go
To find the answer we already know
Cuz you saw it, the minute
I came around this broken town
We’re better off now
We’re better off now

Can't Hide

Written By: Static March

1st Verse
Leave me in my mind
My hands are tied this time
I’m not going to make this right
You’re moving to the sounds
Of voices underground
It’s hard to see who you are

So here we go again
Crying out to all our friends
But they’ve seen us here before
And this time it’s too late
To go back and make things straight
He’s moving in on your heart

Pre-chorus
And I saw it in your eyes
Your tears turn to lies

Chorus
And you killed me and ran for the road
But I want you more than you know

2nd Verse
Like a soldier off at war
I was fighting for
A reason I can’t find
Hold on we’re going down
Dragging us straight to the ground

Pre-chorus
And I saw it in your eyes
That night you said goodbye

Chorus
And you killed me and ran for the road
But I want you more than you know
So run far
But you can’t hide who you are

Depths

Written By: Static March

1st Verse
Waiting on a corner alone
The rain was falling
And the water fills my bones
Everyone’s got their story to tell
And mine’s just the same
Someone calling to be found

Chorus
Somewhere lost at sea
The waves came crashing over me
And you were the one who pulled me to my feet

2nd Verse
Like a broken record skipping
I was caught off the tracks
And the noise just filled my head
So I break the chains and run from innocence
But I’m caught fighting through

Chorus
Somewhere lost at sea
The waves came crashing over me
And you were the one who pulled me to my feet

Bridge
So I tell myself tonight
Just lay still and hold tight, don’t fear this ride
Sense of love, taste of hope, fill the air before I choke

Chorus
Somewhere lost at sea
The waves came crashing over me
And you were the one who pulled me to my feet

I was waiting, but I was caught in
The twist of the hour, pulling me down
I was the problem, you were the answer
Coming through the depths of the ocean
