Static Sun

Static Sun

 Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA

More chill than the freezer and louder than a bomb, Static Sun has a chill reggae feel with a most original sound. Having played summer fests, picnics and battle of the bands, Static Sun brings a sublime feeling where ever they play. Their performances will make you smile and forget about life.

Static Sun started out in Elk Grove Village, Illinois after song writer Jeremy Meyers and Singer Sam Boes teamed up with guitarist Josh McGraw and drummer Luis Sanchez. The four were brought together by their love of Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, The Dirty Heads and the funk of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Since then, Luis Sanchez has been replaced with our new drummer, Ricky. Going strong and set to release a new EP soon, Static Sun is on the move.

*We've also been mentioned on The Drive, Chicago's classic rock station 97.1fm, for our performance at the Elbo Room, as they dig our sound and style.*

*Opened for Lucky Boys Confusion @Durty Nellie's (Maximum capacity of 1500+ reached, event sponsored by Budweiser)*
