Orlando, Florida based alt-pop duo Station Agent is a beacon of light in a world full of darkness. Station Agent’s folk influences and chamber pop flavors intertwine to create some of the most inventive and original modern alternative around today. Justyn Philips & Ashley Christine are both musical partners and soul mates, married in heart and in song. Their first official performance was on their wedding night, surprising the guests with their inventive blend of lush folk harmonies. From there, a seed was planted, and an album started to grow: Testify. Testify is a concept EP chronicling a chance meeting of two broken souls who come together to find strength and healing through love and music. Everything from moody, melancholy lyrics, to lush pads and string arrangements, this record takes you on a musical journey. Justyn & Ashley are no strangers to the music scene, generating huge responses in both their hometown of Orlando, and in Los Angeles. That’s only the beginning.  With Testify, Station Agent looks to redefine what alt-pop can be. Their sound is young and fresh, yet mature and self-aware. Pulling on a wide range of influences, from Lindsey Buckingham and Lana Del Rey, to the alternative folk of Of Monsters and Men and First Aid Kit to alt rock like Young The Giant, Death Cab For Cutie, & Foster The People. Station Agent isn’t rooted in one sound and one direction; instead it’s an ever-evolving musical journey, exploring new sounds and ideas with every song. The heart of Station Agent will always be constant, and that is the love that brings life to this musical duo. Justyn & Ashley’s voices blend together in and incredible and unique way, no two voices sound more made for each other’s than theirs. Their partnership is music symbiosis at it’s purest. Ashley is a living, breathing muse for Justyn’s accomplished songwriting. Her strength and heart through adversity has influenced every aspect of this record. Justyn’s inspiration for Ashley is equally present, singing with such effortless passion that can only be brought on by the love she shares with her musical soul mate.
