Station85

 South Portland, Maine, USA
BandRockPop

sTaTion eighTy-five is a band out of Portland, ME, featuring two distinct sounding frontmen, who manage to always keep their fans guessing with their dynamic mix of rock and pop songs.

Biography

The members of Station85 have been brothers and friends since high school, so they have the rapport to be able to change directions on a dime. Theirs is a chemistry forged by years in the bar grime and, despite their throw-everything-at-the-wall approach, distinct albums are coalescing. Steadily gaining notoriety as one of the best rock acts around and traveling the northeast regularly, Station85 have released two well-received EPs in the last year and a half, and are hard at work on the next. Stay tuned.

Lyrics

Angelita's feet

Written By: Ian Gans

I pressed my soles
up against Angelita's feet
their roughness told lies
about the city life
with country-side
honesty
O woe is me
for they are the same size

She keep's them flat
on the ground
as she gets around town
side stepping anonymous
bottled blondes
engraved faces read:
This life's body is his,
who makes the highest bid.
Let's not kid ourselves about
the way this really is.

And every time I find a way
or something new to say
she finds something
about which to sing
and I must shrug
and blush
embarassed
and touched

freedumb

Written By: Jesse Ludwig

everytime I walk the streets I hear a couple of voices
I don't know what they're saying but I know what their choice is
wonder if the usin is a reason to live
either that or gettin married with a couple of kids
the clickin of the lighter never leaves me alone
the smoke is always blowin when i'm stayin at home
maybe i should get up and follow the smell
Lord knows I won't be smokin' when I'm burning in Hell

Maybe I won't
Maybe I will
Maybe I wonder what it feels like to kill
Maybe it's not all it's cracked up to be
Maybe the dead man will set me free
Cause I don't know if the devil's home
Never been knockin' on Heaven's door
Know a couple guys that are having some fun
with an M-16 and a suicide bomb
never in my head could i picture this
a hetero- man who didn't want a french kiss
'stead he bought a ticket for the holy war
the devil train man sayin' "All Aboard!"

Everytime I'm on the street I walk a little bit faster
I don't know where I'm going
but I know what I'm after
I never take my time
No I never look back
No I never give my past a second chance to attack
this song has got me thinkin that it's all in my head
I hope I find a bar to go to after I'm dead
maybe it's a long shot
maybe it's right
wonder if I'll get my answer later tonight

Maybe I won't
Maybe I will
Maybe I wonder what it feels like to kill
Maybe it's not all it's cracked up to be
Maybe the dead man will set me free
Cause I don't know if the devil's home
Never been knockin' on Heaven's door
Know a couple guys that are having some fun
with an M-16 and a suicide bomb
never in my head could i picture this
a hetero- man who didn't want a french kiss
'stead he bought a ticket for the holy war
the devil train man sayin' "All Aboard!"

the devil train man sayin' "All Aboard!"
