Bio

It’s been a great first year for Steady Hills, two eastern Canadian tours, 6 song EP, social media project ‘Hometown Hero’ enticed 15 people from across America to sing on our album, blog reviews from as far as the UK, and an offical music video release of their single ‘Long Grey Roads’.

A sound that’s hard to pinpoint, but familiar like an old friend. Singer songwriter meets modern rock. Sounding like the Decemberists meets the Black Keys, with a sprinkle of Johnny Cash. Two large amplifiers a Gretsch guitar and progressive rhythms expected of today’s modern indie rockers. Steady Hills has a larger multi layered sound than you’d expect from a two piece!

Steady Hills has been featured on radio shows such as, Live 105’s.’Live Underground’, CBC’s ‘Main Street’ , CKDU 88.1 FM ‘Potato Salad’ and Trent Radio – 92.7 CFFF FM and Route 104.

-Buying Shots For Bands (Toronto Music Blog)

“Competently complete … a wall of noise if you like, but at the same time it feels open and free…
‘Alone In The Marquee’ is quite a bold statement for a debut outing, especially given the manner of its creation.”
-The Sound of Confusion (UK Music blog)

“The sound itself is phenomenal. Chad Harrington’s vocals are like a Jim James revival, the crashing drums and penchant chords produce a rhythm of sound involvement from all four members.
-Music Under Fire (Philadelphia Music blog)

“Very cool, very eclectic sound!”
-Neil Spence (Halifax Live 105)

“The album itself is rather haunting thanks in part to the recording process and Harrington’s vocals which at times bear striking resemblance to the UK’s White Lies”
-Hafilax (Halifax Music blog)
