Bio
Created to play a fluke gig in August of 2004, Steel Battalion has since become one of Northern New Jersey's hot new emerging bands. Originally made up of High School buddies Rob Janos, Brian Cho, and Jesse Gold, it has since expanded to include close friend and keyboardist Andrew Marra, and Pitt Clemens on bass.
Playing a mixture of songs with roots in simple down-and-dirty rock and roll from the likes of Bruce Springsteen and the Who; the screaming blues of Led Zeppelin and Cream; with a modern edge akin to The White Stripes and Nirvana, Steel Battalion is almost impossible to be classified into a single musical category, with over half a dozen styles of music covered.
On April 2nd, the band released their 4-song debut EP of original material, Joker's Paradise, produced and recorded by Chris Sulit of To the Moon at Moonskull Studios in Paramus. It is available for digital download right on our Myspace homepage via Snocap.com.
As of Summer 2007, the band is prepping for their biggest summer season to date, promising over half a dozen shows in the NY/NJ area, complete with new songs and old favorites.
