Music is known to be a healing infrastructure for life; creating art can be fruitful and rewarding. Formulating emotions and life experiences into a form of music is how it all began for Tampa, Florida, Hip-Hop Artist, Stef. Attending Jesuit High School, an all Boy’s school in Tampa, FL, Stef began writing for stress releases purposes, which later transitioned into a talent that he felt would be a lucrative career. He found his God given talent and has since stuck with it.

Born Stefan Edwards, in Palo Alto, California, a great deal of his upbringing was spent residing in various locations, including Vermont and current residence of Tampa, Florida. The older Brother of two younger siblings and Son of two supportive Parents, the Trinidadian bred Artist served as a Soccer player at Jesuit High School, where he proved that his talent extended beyond music but also in Soccer as he proceeded to play at a Collegiate level at Amherst College in Boston – music was more of a personal passion; life in the recording booth overshadowed life on the field.

It’s no surprise that Stef’s sound is distinguished with a charismatic tone of daily life dramatics, positive uplifts and success tales; it’s been personal for him since his days at Jesuit High. Through his music, Stef relinquishes his own life for listeners. Musically influenced by Kanye West, Nas, John Mayer, John Legend, Anita Baker, Bob Marley, Alicia Keys, Notorious BIG, Tupac, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu, Stef tunes into the sounds and emotions they channel and hopes to be as influential as they have been to the musical world.

Managed by 3060 Management, Stef released his first musical redemption of “Training Day” in the form of a mix-tape on January 31, 2011. Since the release of “Training Day”, Stef has been featured on various blog sources and websites.

Motivated by the response from the media and new fan base, Stef is in the current stages of creating a new project, “The Combine”, set to release on May 9th, 2011. Together with 3060 Management and DJ Tayy, his Manager, Stef is focused on the foundation of his brand and organization amongst his team of supporters and team. “The Combine” will no doubt supply his trademark personalization on every track, but will also feature a special guest DJ; Stef’s future is favorable to be stellar.
