Stefen Harpin

Stefen Harpin is an American musician and artist. Originally from the small town of Victoria, Texas, Stefen showed an interest in music from an early age. By the time he was nine, he was begging his parents to let him study piano. They gave in to his persistence and he was allowed to start taking lessons. It wasn't long before he was honing his craft on the family piano. He even earned the money for his first guitar by playing at a campaign fundraiser for Texas governor, Rick Perry.

As fate would have it, he soon discovered his ability as a song-smith with that guitar and quickly started building a catalogue of songs to share with friends and family. After graduating high school in 2005, he moved to the "Music Capital of Texas",The City of Austin, to pursue his professional music career. In Austin he found the exposure he was looking for, starting out on the open-mic circuit and jams at local bars and coffee shops, and finally at his first solo shows.

Beginning in the summer of 2008, Stefen has been performing with friend and percussionist Jason Wilkinson, and bassist Will Krause. They have since converged into a force to be reckoned with. Although only a trio, they have the sound and presence of a five piece. Wilkinson's solid rhythms, and Krause's mastery of the bass truly takes this group to the stratosphere!
