"First Live Show"

The choice of venue for the night was the Martini Bar in Elgin, Illinois. This was the first ever show for Stellanecks and it proved to be very entertaining. The set did not feature a drummer which provided a challenge for the band which they handled with ease. The set list featured Stellnecks' originals such as Anyway, Fret 9,and Switch it Two Me. What made the show even more exciting was the bands ability to cover songs like Dancing Nancies, Grey Steet, and Ants Marching by the Dave Matthews Band. After watching the show it reminded me of the acoustic sets performed by Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. Stellanecks possess great on stage chemistry and have great potential to make something of their music. - RJ Carvis

Bio

Stellanecks was formed in March 2009. All three band members are from Chicago, IL. Dominic Vaia was at school in Iowa writing his own music and Paul Lewis was in Chicago writing his own music. One day they talked and shared their music with each other and they sounded very similiar so they decided to form Stellanecks. Nine months into the band, they recorded their first album "Sweep the Sky".
