Bio

Stellavision has had considerable local show experience, having played California coastal venues from Santa Cruz to San Francisco, including the Black & White Ball, Bay-TV, Slim's, and Nadine's Wild Weekend. Stellavision's sound contains elements of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Toad The Wet Sprocket, the Police and Train.

Stellavision plays a powerful hybrid of rock, pop, and funk. Originating in the early '90s at the University of California, Santa Cruz, the band went through typical name changes before setlling on Stellavision in 1998. This coincided with the release of its second album which was recorded, mixed and mastered all in home studios. The band's focus is creating inventive rock/pop music and distributing it by any means possible: traditional gigging, radio, record stores, and direct-to-fans via the Internet.

Currently, the band has just completed work on its new CD, "Moxie", which finds the band further refining its unique sound. "Moxie" was also recorded in home studios and mastered by the illustrious John Cuniberti (Joe Satriani, Tracy Chapman, Aerosmith) at San Francisco's Plant Studios.
