Bio
In the tradition of the great vintage rock supergroups, Stepanian is-first and foremost-a band. Like Bon Jovi and Santana before them, their moniker comes from that of their front man, Eric Stepanian. Stepanian's signature sound is unmistakable.
The band exploded onto the college and club scene in early 2005 with two captivating showcases at the NACA NORTHEAST CONFERENCE and the NACA MID-ATLANTIC FESTIVAL. That year Stepanian appeared at over 30 colleges along the east coast and shared the stage with MAROON5, JASON MRAZ, HOWIE DAY and RUSTED ROOT.
Their most recent album "Autumn She Leaves", produced and engineered by Dave Chalfant (Erin Mckeweon, The Nields) features a guest vocal appearance by Universal recording artist STEPHEN KELLOGG. "Twilight", a flute-infused rock song was selected for AWARESTORE.com's Earsnacks Vol. 6 compilation.
In 2003 the band recorded their debut EP, "For Lack of Better Words", at Dragonfly Studios (DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, OAR). The album, produced by Chris Keup and Stewart Myers (JASON MRAZ, LIFEHOUSE, RACHEL YAMAGATA, SHAWN COLVIN) features "These Days," a spirited and lyrical track licensed by ABC FAMILY for their new show Knock First.
Fall of 2006 marks the release of another collaboration with producer Dave Chalfant, an EP featuring the original song "Caroline" which has already recieved major-label attention.
