 Staunton, Virginia, USA
BandRockAmericana

Great sounding guitars with truthful lyrics and real life content that stays in the tradition of Americana Rock.

Biography

I left the Charlottesville, Va. Area in 2001 for Atlanta. I was looking for new sights and sounds in the South and after recording and touring for 8 years with Rufus Sun and Roosevelt’s Plan, I returned home.
I recorded a self-titled album with Rufus Sun and an album, The Slog of War, with Roosevelt’s Plan. I am currently supporting my first solo release simply titled: Stephan Eutsler: Vol. 1.
This record is exactly the direction I needed to go in my music and my life. It truly is an emulsion of Americana-Rock and Psychedelia. The live show exaggerates all facets of this emulsion; there is Hendrix and Sabbath with Tom Petty and The Drive-By Truckers!

Lyrics

Where You Are

Written By: Stephan Eutsler

I drove 500 miles just to get some sleep
But I’d walk 900 miles to hear what I need
I went out looking for a land more beautiful than you
Came back an old man, return to you

Can you show me what it’s all about?
You say I know where there is no doubt
Majority, Minority it’s all a bit out dated
No matter how close or how far with you where you are

Stand in the garden on my own two feet
Hear the water in the stream
Stream of consciousness that led me to this place
Where I could Love you and kiss Your face

Can you show me what it’s all about?
You say I know where there is no doubt
Unhappily, Indignity it’s all a bit out dated
No matter how close or how far with you where you are

Sweet Little Baby

Written By: Stephan Eutsler

I’m just a man, a fragile man
I hurt and I cry and I don’t want to die
If I post bail from the weight of it all
I’d put us in a Chrysler on outa here

Where does the heart go when it goes away?
And leaves me never so still
Always a means right up to the end
If He ain’t willing and the creeks have risen
All for you I’d do it again

There are things you should know
These last few years we’ve seen a lot of road
Two hearts can’t go on forever clicking miles
Baby sweet baby please stay put for a while
Under the dirt, beneath the soil
I came to you not much for wear and tare
The idea‘s much bigger with you there
To have you now nothing compares

Never was so scared in all my life
When you gave me a son and almost died
Your blood pressure spiked and your heart almost broke
We went so far, never felt so close

Mixed Up Boy

Written By: Stephan Eutsler

I’ve been down, I’ve been up
I’ve been asleep, I’ve been awake
And I’ve known, and I’ve been lost
And I know today
I am found, but I don’t know
If I not lost or on the way

So find me and I’ll find yourself
Sitting in a pile of glass talking to someone else
So find me and I’ll find yourself
Sitting in a pile of glass talking to someone else

I had love and I had hate
And I walked that line again the first time
Said to myself, are you going to help me
You left alone and you left without me
I’ll take that ride ‘till we hit that wall
Come together once and for all

One for all and I’ll find myself
Sitting in a pile of glass talking to no one else
So find you and they’ll find me too
Sitting in the sunshine, I’ll laugh out loud with you
If you slide, I’ll slide with you
These days and drunken nights are all for me and you
So find you and they’ll find me too
And if I never make it back
The mixed up boy was you

Red

Written By: Stephan Eutsler

I never felt alive until I almost killed myself
It became an art to make my last breath my first
And I’m so fucking glad it’s over, all the days I spent with her
I never gave myself a chance to catch myself from falling
When I was falling so fast
If ever there was a line they always went last and I always went first
Still it seemed I was always the worst

I’m better off now than I ever was before
Seems the days aren’t so long anymore
To leave it all behind was just too easy
To tell you the truth I don’t know that anymore
Now I got a life and a wife, some kids, and a car and I’m some place that I want to be
And the good Lord he knows my name
Don’t you know, I can get up and go outside and go to work on Monday
Don’t have to pick myself up off the floor
