"Listen UP!! Hot New Sounds From Bright New Country Artists"

Known for writing sassy “good ole girl” anthems, Stephanie Corbin’s new album “Dirty Twang” remains true to country music with a twang that captures your heart and a hint of bluegrass that fills your soul. Born and raised in Villa Hills, Kentucky, Stephanie moved to Nashville in 2001 following an opening act performance for Montgomery Gentry. She’s become a polished live performer singing and playing at the legendary Tootsies Orchard Lounge, The Blue Bird Café, and the Daytona 500 for Coca-Cola. Stephanie’s talent earned her the title of one of the “7 Best Unsigned Singer/Songwriters” in Nashville in a 2007 competition.

"Stephanie Corbin CD Review - Self Titled Debut Album"

I went to Stephanie Corbin’s CD release party Saturday night, and I got so frustrated I started drinking. Don’t get me wrong; it was a great show. Stephanie was sensational. The band was tight. The house was packed. Everyone was happy—everyone but me.

What’s the reason for my discontent? Stephanie should be in artist development instead of playing East Nashville. She has a gorgeous, distinctive voice. She sounds like summer sunshine and midnight hayrides and sittin’ on the fence flirting with your first love, Billy Joe. Stephanie is stone-cold country ya’ll, and damn proud of it.

She’s also a fine songwriter, and she’s picked some very cool writers to team up with for her first CD. Steve Libby, Penny Dale, Joel Shewmake (Toothbrush - Brad Paisley), and Ryan Fleener (The Dirt Drifters) all lent their considerable talents to the project. Rich Herring did a great job on the production. The musicians are polished and smooth. This is everything a country album should be.

And the songs are great. The Dating Game is so true it made me cringe and laugh at the same time. That’s Not Fair To You breaks my heart every time I hear it. Santa Fe is a hit record. Shot of Whiskey is so infectious, some of the local girls have already made up a line-dance for it.

Stephanie has the talent and the determination to make it as an artist. On top of that, she’s a marketing department’s dream. She’s a beautiful blonde babe. She’s got the cool haircut. (When she gets her record deal, every 12-year-old girl you know will be wearing “the Stephanie.”) She even has a bodacious tattoo. Would someone please sign her already? I need to stop drinking.

Mixing gasoline and nitrogen would make a pretty impressive explosion, though nothing like the high powered performance from Stephanie Corbin!

Born and raised in Villa Hills, Kentucky. Stephanie moved to Nashville in 2001 following an opening act performance for Montgomery Gentry. Shes a true down-to-earth country artist. Stephanie Corbin favors the country talents of Rhonda Vincent, Gretchen Wilson, Dixie Chicks, Miranda Lambert, Patsy Cline, and Sonya Isaacs just to name a few. This Kentucky born artist follows their edgy styles with her own twist. As contemporary country shies away from steel guitars and twin fiddles, Corbin reminds us of what country music is all about with a twang that captures your heart, a hint of bluegrass that fills your soul, and a lot of rowdiness that packs a punch.

Stephanies unique sound has earned her well-deserved attention on music row but not without paying her dues. Shes become a polished live performer singing and playing in legendary Honky-Tonks like Tootsies, the world famous Blue Bird Caf, the Colgate Country Showdown and the Daytona 500. Stephanies determination, carefree spirit, and un-measurable songwriting talent even earned her a nomination as one of the seven best unsigned singer songwriters of Nashville in 2007.

Known for writing sassy good ole girl anthems, this girl knows how to write a song! Which is undeniable when you hear Ill Show You White Trash, & Dirty Twang. Miss Corbin has once again teamed up with artist and fellow songwriters, Jeff Dayton, who penned Any Old Time for George Strait, Blake Chaffin, Steve Libby, Jerry Holthouse, Frank Taylor, and Tom Lenartz to record a refreshing, clever and well written album that makes you want to turn the volume up.

What truly separates Stephanie from The Music Row competition is a refreshing sparkle reminiscent of The Dixie Chicks or Patsy Cline at her most unguarded. Dirty Twang not only showcases Stephanies ability to write relatable songs, but also her unwavering talent as a singer. Its a great compliment and much needed addition to her self titled debut album, Stephanie Corbin.
