Bio

Alright,
So here it goes.
I’m good with other people’s stories but will try telling mine.

I was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and I have one younger sister who has played a big part in my musical journey.

At a young age I began playing guitar. It is a passion that has not wavered near as much as others throughout my life. The first concert I ever attended was John Denver. I was in the ninth grade and the show is still imprinted on me.
Since then there have been many influences: Dan Fogelberg, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, John Hyatt, John Pryne, Bonnie Raitt, Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge, Bob Dylan, The BoDeens, My Morning Jacket, Mark Knofler and many more.

I’ve always been drawn to more of the singer songwriter style than anything else. I began writing songs in my early teens & continue to do so.

I moved from Nebraska, to Arizona three years after High School. It was Arizona where I first began playing music as more than a hobby. There were a few attempts in college but they failed quickly.

My first paying performances were at Casey Moore’s Oyster House. You may know it as “9th & Ash” if you know it at all. I played there every Thursday for quite some time.
Soon there after I began performing as a duo with Megan Peters. We played for a few years here throughout the valley. The Backstage in Scottsdale was a weekly stage for us.
For a time we called our selves the Future X-Wives.
We would also play coffee houses, The Brass Rail, Casey Moore’s, among others.

My sister Carolyn would become my musical partner in the late 80’s. We performed heavily for years through out Arizona. In 1990 we recorded our first CD in Colorado.
It is called “Through the Years”

You’d find us most weeks at Rio Salado Brewery, The Flagstaff Brewery, The Coffee Plantation, Café Portabella, and numerous other places.
We enjoyed many years of performing together.

In 2003 I would release my first solo CD entitled Little Things.
Since then I have performed with different intensities.
I perform with musicians I have known for years as well as some that I have just met.
I look forward to the future with music at my side. It has always been something that has brought me pleasure.

I am now working on my new CD entitled “Dodging Butterflies”. I hope to release it by Fall 2009 and will keep everyone posted.

I am now performing more and more through out the area.
I work with Ryan Bowman, John Willis, Greg Ahamm, Gary Bruzzese, among others.

I hope that you venture out to see one of my performances.
We’ll look forward to seeing you,
