Bio

Stephanie has been performing since she was 7 years old, both singing and playing the piano. She started accompanying her father when she was in the 3rd grade, and went on to perform in music and theatre throughout high school and college, performing every opportunity she had, particularly in church. She has been perfecting her craft of songwriting over the course of the last 22 years since her formal training at Oklahoma City University (OCU) School of Performing Arts where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre. Cutting her teeth in acting and musical performance in classical roles like Reno Sweeney from “Anything Goes” and Sarah Good in “The Crucible,” Stephanie developed a unique style of creating her own musical compositions with a mixture of classical, jazz, pop, and of course, musical theatre.

Stephanie’s debut professional performance was in 1992 at the Civic Center in Oklahoma City where she unveiled “The Passion’s Dream,” a performance art piece that she composed, produced, and performed. Her professional experience includes shooting an original 12-pilot series in 1995 for OETA Oklahoma Public Television as a project through OCU, containing a mix of extemporaneous music and performance art. Also that year, she was the opening act for Michael Hedges and Crosby, Stills, & Nash in a benefit at Oklahoma City’s Zoo Amphitheater, for the parents of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bomb victims. She was also a showcase performer for a David Yurman design exhibit in 1996 also in Oklahoma City. She has performed over the years at various functions: fundraisers, private gatherings, cafes, songwriting workshops, art galleries, cabarets, and music ministries, parlaying her talents now in the film industry writing musical scores for television and film.
