Passionate, real, acoustic driven piano pop melodies

Biography

Resurrection is a common theme in Stephanie Moore’s life. When she was seven years old, she gave her heart to Jesus; and since that time, He has been breathing new life into the things in her world. In 1999, a much-publicized tragic shooting at the church she attends took the life of one of her closest friends, leaving Stephanie with emotional turmoil that plagued her over the coming years. During a trip to Nashville, a friend encouraged her to use her talents for voice and songwriting as a way to begin the healing process and ultimately pursue a career in the music industry. Coming from most people, that kind of statement might just seem like a nice compliment; but coming from drummer Steve Brewster (Sara Groves, Natalie Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Rich Mullins, Art Garfunkel), it sounded like a calling. Stephanie's desire is for women to hear the truth above the clamor of society’s lies—to know that they are beautiful, worthy of love, and treasured by the God who has a plan for them. People are connecting to that message, too. Two years in a row, she made it in the Top 10 at the Gospel Music Association’s Music in the Rockies competition, and she placed in the top 23 of the 5,000 people in the Gifted Talent Search. In the meantime, her mellow, piano/acoustic driven melodies have found favor among a broad spectrum of listeners—from youth groups to senior adults. She packed up her things and moved to Nashville in August of 2007 in the hopes of reaching even more people with a new CD and the message that God wants to heal their hurts and give new life to their dreams.

Lyrics

Broken

Written By: Stephanie Nicole Moore

Verse 1:
She was just eighteen, and he was twenty-four.
She thought their love would last, but he slammed the door.

Chorus 1:
And she is broken,
Left to wonder what went wrong.
So broken,
Is there anyone?

Verse 2:
He's hungry and in need, all alone out on the street.
Is there someone passing by who will give him food to eat?

Chorus 2:
And he is broken,
Abandoned and afraid.
So broken,
Who will ease his pain?

Tag 1:
If you're searching for a refuge, a place to run and hide,
I know someone who'll take you, His arm are open wide.
Oh yeah...

Verse 3:
And He was a man, a man who did no wrong.
But He was sent to die upon a rugged cross.

Chorus 3:
And He was broken,
Spilled out for the world.
So broken,
He will heal your hurt.

Tag 2:
He's searching for those people who are lost down on their knees.
He wants to come and save them, He longs to set them free.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, He will set you free.
He's searching for those people who are lost down on their knees.
He wants to come and save them, He longs to set them free.

Held By Love

Written By: Stephanie Nicole Moore

Verse 1:
I've made some mistakes, I wish I never had.
Feel when you look at me you won't see past.
Will you see through my scars, straight to my heart?
The real me is somewhere inside.

Chorus 1:
The past won't define me, my scars they won't bind me.
I'm covered in grace, touched by the Son,
Refreshed not forsaken, held and not shaken,
By the One who's name is Love.

Verse 2:
You took the nails on an old rugged cross.
The stains on your hands covered all the lost.
Sin has been beaten, Satan is crushed,
And victory is now mine to claim!

(repeat chorus 1)

Bridge:
And you took my heart,
You washed me clean,
Made me complete,
Now I am free.

Chorus 2:
The past won't define me, my scars they won't bind me.
I'm covered in grace, touched by the Son,
Refreshed not forsaken, held and not shaken,
By the One who's name is Love,
Who's name is Love,
Who's name is Love.

Coffee Date

Written By: Stephanie Nicole Moore

Verse 1:
Grabbed my coffee, now I'm on my way.
It's another chance to have a great day.
Beauty all around, sun is shining through the clouds.
Feel you in the air every time I take a breath, I'm amazed

Chorus 1:
At your love unending, grace freely given,
Mercy raining down.
Past and present, what is to come,
Unchanging, unchanging.

Verse 2:
Now I sit to write but nothing's coming on the page.
Words are in my head, I don't know what to say.
Hoping you don't mind that all my thoughts are in a mess.
Want to say to you I wanna express my thanks

Chorus 2:
For your love unending, grace freely given,
Mercy raining down.
Past and present, what is to come,
Unchanging, unchanging.

Bridge:
You sent your Son to die,
That I might live this life.
I'll forever praise you.

Chorus 3:
For your love unending, grace freely given,
Mercy raining down.
Past and present, what is to come,
Unchanging, unchanging, unchanging, yeah...
