Bio

Resurrection is a common theme in Stephanie Moore’s life. When she was seven years old, she gave her heart to Jesus; and since that time, He has been breathing new life into the things in her world. In 1999, a much-publicized tragic shooting at the church she attends took the life of one of her closest friends, leaving Stephanie with emotional turmoil that plagued her over the coming years. During a trip to Nashville, a friend encouraged her to use her talents for voice and songwriting as a way to begin the healing process and ultimately pursue a career in the music industry. Coming from most people, that kind of statement might just seem like a nice compliment; but coming from drummer Steve Brewster (Sara Groves, Natalie Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Rich Mullins, Art Garfunkel), it sounded like a calling. Stephanie's desire is for women to hear the truth above the clamor of society’s lies—to know that they are beautiful, worthy of love, and treasured by the God who has a plan for them. People are connecting to that message, too. Two years in a row, she made it in the Top 10 at the Gospel Music Association’s Music in the Rockies competition, and she placed in the top 23 of the 5,000 people in the Gifted Talent Search. In the meantime, her mellow, piano/acoustic driven melodies have found favor among a broad spectrum of listeners—from youth groups to senior adults. She packed up her things and moved to Nashville in August of 2007 in the hopes of reaching even more people with a new CD and the message that God wants to heal their hurts and give new life to their dreams.
