Feeling a bit camera shy

Bio

Steph B is an independent female rapper and songwriter from the DMV area. She is known for her ability to spit fire, and can fully convey real feelings and emotions that many can relate to. She uses her floetic rhymes as the vehicle to tell her story, which helps her reach out to many who has been in her shoes. Telling her story gives her the opportunity to show those who are dealing with the same issues that you can overcome your obstacles. If Steph B did, you can too.
Steph B was born in Norfolk, Va and moved to Maryland, at the young age of 7. It was with her older brother, A. Brodie (a rapper with 757 music group), when she realized that she had aspirations of pursuing a music career. Often time, she and her brother would battle to improve their skills and work on their creative styles. While crafting her artistry, Steph B performed in local talent shows and school shows at age 14, which allowed her to showcase her abilities. Her ambition and hard work helped cultivate her into the lyricist that she has become. With the exposure she sought after, Steph B, at age 16, started to come into her own as an artist. She has been associated with girl group DC RAP Divas, who has opened up for Slim Thug, performed with local star Paula Campbell, and worked with DMV’s own Text Sosa. As for her solo career, she has performed on college tours, was an opening act for Fat Joe, shared the stage with many local artists from the DMV area and has produced two albums; “No Grind No Shine” and “Just ME.”
Now promoting her latest album “JUST ME,” it is clear that this album is near and dear to her heart. Through “Just Me,” she is definitely sharing her story with the world. Steph B catches listeners with her unique blunt punch lines and story-telling flow on real issues. Music is her way of dealing with the world. She looks to rapping as a therapeutic means that keeps her calm. It allows her to escape the everyday hustle and just be free. She’s extremely versatile with the ability to spit rhymes like a female pit-bull but can slow it down and be classy like a Mary J Blige.
What many love about her is that she is the everyday girl that has her fair share of ups and downs. Steph B has much to offer and continues to master her art. With dreams that she has set her eyes upon, she knows the sky’s the limit and plans to create her own path. She looks forward to taking the industry by storm with her self proclaimed “DMV female hip hop movement.” Steph B is on the rise, so keep your eyes open because she is definitely an artist to look out for.
