Stephen DiJoseph is award-winning singer-songwriter, classical-jazz pianist, composer, guitar experimenter, hand drummer, electronic keyboardist and VIDEO producer. Stephen began demanding musical instruments at the age of six. Stephen's music is highlighted by the story of his Synaptic Adventure as he calls it. He has a Tourette - inflected fusionary passion formed from the heart of experience and generously shared with his audience.
Stephen is one of those rare animals, able to offer up captivating and truly original songs with a soulful voice and then mind-bending instrumentals that leave you feeling "like you found something you didn't know you needed says Maine Things Considered host Charlotte Renner. Stephen was recently interviewed on one of the nations most listened- to talk show hosts: WOR radios The Joey Reynolds Show. He was interviewed on the WHYY/NPR talkshow Radiotimes with Marty Moss-Coane discussing the influence of Tourette Syndrome on his music and creativity.
Stephen has been a frequent guest on Philadelphias longest running folk radio program , The Gene Shay Show on WXPN, and his music has been featured on PRIs Echoes, syndicated on over 170 radio stations. He's opened for such notables as Billy Jonas, Mad Pudding, Los Lobos, and Greg Brown. Hes shared the stage with Christine Lavin, Buddy Mondlock, Matthew Kahler, Lucy Kaplansky, Greg Greenway, Tom Prasado-Rao and Cary Cooper.

Past accolades include a nomination for Best Composer in the Philadelphia City Paper Music Awards along side jazz master Odeon Pope, Best Instrumental CD in the JP Folks International Music Awards for his solo jazz piano CD "Pianopoetry", and second place for Best Celtic CD again in the JP Folks International Music Awards for his collaborative release, "Urban Celtic".
