"Indie Artist Dillard-Carroll Releases Debut"

Stephen Dillard-Carroll, an up and coming artist, has recently released his debut CD "Introducing¦ME." The initial release of the CD was in February 2009 and he has been working hard since then to get his songs recognized and to give his CD publicity.

Stephen Dillard-Carroll grew up in the Midwest and therefore says the mix of music and dance in his past has influenced his own style of music. "Introducing¦ME" is made up of unique songs that amplify what Stephen himself listens to; dance pop, hip-hop, and Euro Dance.

The main focus of this CD was to combine several types of music so people of all tastes and preferences could enjoy the musical talents of Stephen Dillard-Carroll.
The first single released was "ANIMAL," which has a foot tapping beat and poetic lyrics relating to what the title represents. Although "ANIMAL" is not your typical melodic piece, it is clear that Stephen uses the background beats and rhythms to make the song more interesting and meaningful.

The current single that seems to be most popular and receiving more publicity at the moment is "I Feel Like Dancin." The background music to this song seems to be more on the techno side than his first single. Just as the lyrics hope for in this piece, "I Feel Like Dancin" could definitely become a hit on the play list at a techno or dance club.

If you enjoy the techno and dance type songs such as "I Feel Like Dancin," track 7, "Through The Looking Glass," contains a similar beat and tempo. Although this song is a little mellower than the recent single, it has comparable style.

" Feels Good" is a single that is more melodic than some of the other pieces on the CD. If you were in the mood to sing along rather than dance along, this track would be a good one to listen to.

All in all, Stephen Dillard-Carroll tries his best to appeal to everyone's taste in music, however, since his style is very unique it may be hard for every listener to fully enjoy the CD.

Some of the songs, such as "ANIMAL" are merely talking as opposed to rhythmic rap or melodic singing. Although Stephen tries to use his lyrics as a form of expression, it may not be easy for everyone to relate if it is not the style of music they are interested in.

After 6 years of hard work, Stephen Dillard-Carroll fulfilled his accomplishment of completing an album. "Introducing…ME," just as the CD title claims, introduces Stephen as a writer and soon to be dance pop, hip-hop, and Euro Dance hit artist. His dedication to his work and music will eventually pay off and hopefully in the near future his new CD will receive the publicity it needs.

When it comes down to it, if you are interested in modernized dance music and distinctive beats, "Introducing¦ME" is the CD for you. If this is not your prime taste in music, Stephen Dillard-Carroll may not be your artist of choice, but it is still worth it to check out the CD and see for yourself - The Greyhound

Bio

Stephen Dillard-Carroll was born, raised, and currently resides in the Midwest. If you think the Midwest is no place for cutting edge dance music, you'd be wrong. "What people don't realize is there is a HUGE dance underground scene here in the Midwest." he says. "It doesn't get a lot of play on the radio or in the press because for dance music - outside of the lone exception of Chicago - we've been told to look to the East or West coast." That's about to change with "Introducing… ME". "The time is right with the explosion of the Midwest rap scene for people to take notice that besides rap music the Midwest has far more to offer than rock or country music," he says. "There are people out there doing big things in the Midwest and I want to take it to the next level."

As far as musical influences go, Stephen Dillard-Carroll's location couldn't have been better. "Growing up in the Midwest I got to experience dance music from everywhere. I mean, obviously you've got Michael, Madonna, Janet and all the old school dance titans that shaped dance pop music to be what it is today. In hip-hop you've got East Cast, West Coast, Dirty South, and most recently the Midwest sound has burst onto the national scene. Then there was the dance club EXPLOSION in the 90's with house music burning up the mainstream charts like we hadn't seen since the golden age of disco. Add onto that the obvious influence of EuroDance and you get a pretty eclectic mix of musical styles that as a kid I just soaked up. I was blessed to grow up in the Midwest which gave me a broad range of musical styles that influenced me and ultimately the music I create."

"Introducing… ME" is an eclectic mix of styles that bridge the gaps between dance pop, hip-hop, and EuroDance all into one CD. "Going in on this album," he says "I wanted to give people a taste of who I am, what I listen to and what moves me. I never want to be boxed into any category besides dance music. And because dance music can be classified as anything that gets your body moving, I think I've accomplished that with this CD. There's something for everyone on this CD. Including a ballad!" he laughs.

"Introducing… ME", the debut CD from recording artist Stephen Dillard-Carroll will be available online to download on January 27th, 2009. "This is just the beginning for me," he states. "And I couldn't be more excited. I see great things happening in dance music today and I'm in the perfect position to not only reap the benefits of that but also to set myself up for a long career shaking the asses of the masses." he says with a laugh. And we can't wait to see what he has in store next.
