Bio
At last count, Stephen Flavahan was a 24 year old singer-songwriter living in Glasgow and dividing his time unevenly between singing, guitar and pianising.
Born in Dundee, a contemporary of The View and former band-mate of Kieran Webster & Pete Reilly, Stephen swapped the emerging scene for a stint living in India, several girls and a degree in Engineering from the University of Glasgow. None of which ever impressed enough to compete with the unyeilding strain offered by life as a musician.
In a short space of time gigging smaller venues around Glasgow and Dundee, Stephen has established an energetic three-piece live show, a loyal fan-following and earned live support slots with Bombay Bicycle Club, The View, The Law and a headline Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio/The Sun) show.
His debut EP ‘Memories + Tragedies’ has been recorded with Marcus Mackay (Snow Patrol/Frightened Rabbit) and is due out in May 2011 with a Scottish tour to follow. Expect catchy hooks, exceptional songwriting and tunes about love and all its bedfellows.
