Bio

From South Carolina, Gordin originally played piano and violin. However, he branched out into playing banjo and guitar, then began composing his own folk and country songs. Eventually, he began writing blues and more traditional blues-based rock. He was the founder of the blues rock band Highway 29 and also later founded The Radio Robbers. Currently he plays primarily acoustic gigs with lead guitarist Mat Fagan under the name "Steve and Mat."

His song, Till Tommorrow, was named as a finalist in the 2008 Folk Song category by the Independent Singer Songwriter Association. Two other songs, Carolina Dreams and Alive were named semifinalists in the UK 2008 Songwriting contest. Till Tommorrow was also named to the short list of the 2008 Australian Songwriter's Contest. Gordin has also been the musical guest on the morning TV program, Your Carolina with Jack and Kimberly, and his music was played regularly on the Piedmont Blues Show, airing on WLOT in Greenville, SC. He has recently been highlighted and played on Dixie Rock and Sweet Home RBA radio programs hosted by Luc Brunot.
