Bio
Steve Johns has over 30 years experience in the industry as a musician, composer/songwriter and teacher. His vast experience includes piano, trumpet and percussion with the Royal Australian Navy, jazz and piano studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, performance in an extensive range of genres, recording and session work on jingles and albums. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in (Contemporary Music) from Southern Cross University.
Winner of the 2005 Dolphin Award in the Music for Children Category, Steve Johns is a consumate composer & songwriter. His affinity with children and nature consistently fuel his creativity, resulting in projects that include compositions for Australia's endangered species, meditation, surfing, premature babies, indigenous issues as well as contempory popular songs.
He is the owner of Nightowl Productions, which comprises of a teaching studio and production suite.Steve nutures and encourages his students by recording and producing their songwriting efforts.
