Bio

It’s funny how things work out. Tom Stephens was playing lead guitar for Florida folkie, James Hawkins, when Mike Worrall, playing mandolin and electric bass, was added to the fray. Tom and Mike hit it off immediately. Their style, groove and backgrounds, steeped in the alt-country—Americana—blues—folk—musical traditions of Texas, meshed perfectly. So perfectly, in fact, that, having built a repertoire of newly penned songs, they began performing as a duo.

In the meantime, Mike was contacted by Michael McKee, a pickin’ buddy from a musical stint in Louisville in the early ‘80’s, who had gotten plugged in to the central Florida acoustic music scene. One thing led to another until the three began playing folk clubs, coffeehouses, and Festivals in the West Central Florida area.

With several hundred thousand road miles, and a century of musical experience between them, these guys have seen it all. Their live shows are an exercise in musicianship and creativity, their good time vibe is infectious, and their sole aim is for everyone involved to have the time of their lives.

In early 2008, with all three providing vocals and guitar work, Worrall playing bass & mandolin, and Stephens finishing things off with some soulful, bluesy harp, the trio recorded a six song promotional EP of original music. They are looking forward to completing a full length CD in the near future.
