Bio
I started performing in Massachusetts while in high school, playing original and cover music with a rock band in the late 60's.That band, named CROWD, fronted the J. Geils band before breaking up.
I moved to Huntsville, AL in 1973, and started performing in a soul band, then a country-rock band and many others, including the NITE OWLS, a popular party band.
GROUND LEVEL SOUND, a rock group, was my next important band. We released four cd's from 1989 to 2001.This band performed constantly during the 90's, playing clubs, festivals, and special events.
In 2001 I started playing in church, playing on 3 cd's and playing concerts as well. I'm still currently involved in the church ministry.
As 2002 began, I started performing solo, and recording my music without a band. Doing showcases and writer's nights revealed that I could push my music without the time-consuming involvement of a band.
Although I still perform with the VALLEY CATS, a talented weekend party band, my original music is a separate entity, and I am better able to represent myself as a songwriter.
I've been teaching guitar at The FRET SHOP since 1985. This keeps me involved in the current music climate.
