Bio

If you took a side of Bobby Bland, and poured Etta James on him, then threw them in the blender with Santana, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin, basted some Marvin Gaye with The Platters and baked it all with Temptations/Jackie Wilson biscuits, on a bedding of Amy Winehouse, rinsed off with a BB King/Bob Marley sauce and served red hot on a Buddy Guy/Bonnie Rait platter, with wine melodies crafted at the highest standard of tasyness...what if you did all that??? grotesque looking, but how would it sound? And what would stop that band from taking over the music world?

The Steppers Heaven band formed in 2003, out of the ashes of The Cool Side of The Pillow, a Boston based reggae outfit. Steppers Heaven consists of founding members: Bobby "clumsy ninja" Bishop(vocals/guitar), and Terelle "miss model T" Brown(vocals/guitar), along with Ethan Pransky (drums/perc) and Louie S (held down studio Bass).

Bobby "clumsy ninja" and Miss Model T hire themselves out for hired gun guitar work; and the entire band as a live stage and studio team (for artists/producers). They draw from their wealth of experience performing/recording as they tailor the sound, and approach to each musical situation. Bobby and Terelle have been noted street musicians in Boston for several years, having taken it to a level rarely seen these days...appearing on the radio, on TV, the paper, documentaries, the studio, and of course the stage.

Veterans of well over 100 club/bar shows and hundreds of subway/street performances, there is an ease to which they lay down soul music of all kinds, that's quite striking to the uninitiated. They are blessed to have recieved strong support and encouragement from the people of Boston, it's visitors, and it's many many students.

Having played drums and percussion since age 10, Ethan Pransky lays down the thump, for the reggae/blues explosion. Whether it be: blues, R&B, rock, reggae, ska, jazz, or funk, Ethan has the groove at all times. He's played with dozens of bands around New England for over ten years. Ethan holds a degree in Economics from Brandeis University and is multi-lingual.

A model, and a songwriter, Terelle "miss model T" Brown is a kickboxing, lead guitar playing badass (not her words) from Boston.
Having played and studied guitarwork for four years, she's amassed 500+ performances, in addition to interviews, appearences on radio, tv, and in print. She songwrites, sings, and plays lead guitar for Steppers Heaven. Terelle is unique in that she performed on stage her very first week of playing music (with The Cool Side of The Pillow), and hasn't looked back since.

An Englishman living in Boston, Bobby "clumsy ninja" Bishop has been playing music for over 20 years. He's a songwriter, producer, guitarist, and many things. A former Art History and Painting student turned musician, Bobby loves soul music of all kinds. Clumsy Ninja is a rabid fan of martial arts, and fighting sports. He trains in Chinese Kickboxing in Boston, time permitting. He's no ninja, but earns the nickname clumsy, by being a lanky, gangly mess (when he's not sparring, well...I guess all the time, such is life).
