"Time Off E.P. review"

Modern Music are onto another great thing with the debut EP of these Brisbane-based Triple J darlings. They cleverly deliver an eclectic mix of rock, funk and rap, all executed with the greatest of confidence and tongue in cheek wit.

Their unrelenting energy is captured perfectly on ‘Steriophile’ and ‘Junk’ while ‘James’ provides a quieter moment showcasing superb songwriting. ‘Revolution’ features sexy bass and a catchy riff before ending a notch or two higher with ‘Superfly’. Their unrelenting musicianship is captured here along with the kind of energy that really can’t be taught. Their MySpace blurb sums it up: “these guys have a band and they know what to do with it.” (BP)
