"ULRIKA & STEREO REFORM Cover Four Five Seconds"

We were as surprised as everyone else when rumors about a McCartney/West/Rihanna collaboration began spreading. But what a catchy tune! Chances are the song is stuck in your head already.

The mega-hit has already been covered by many-a Youtuber, but this one is by far the best we’ve seen. ULRIKA teams up with Stereo Reform (and her trusty VoiceLive Play) to perform a nice laid back version.

The video has got less denim in it than the original, but plenty of swag! - TC Helicon

"Hypefresh Blog"

"We at HF have to give ["Fire"] 2 huge thumbs up! This isn’t your typical pop groove… This song commands the dance floor to move, and get down to it! Rarely, do we hear tracks submitted that have us moving like Jagger in our office spaces.. So we send huge thanks to Stereo Reform for giving our ears breakfast before our stomachs got fed." - Hypefresh Magazine

"Stereo Reform on Your Carolina"

"Amazon Customer Review"

"Very Very Goodt . You need to Getd this album. Neil and Will are the Zapp and Roger of our generation. Electricity Generation; generating power from other sources of primary energy. Primary school, Primary colors - neon yellows, blue and red. Don't miss your ticket - get on the train. Next stop - your ear and brain, and your house. The Auditory Fun-house."

"Permanent Rotation: Black Angels, Michael Kiwanuka, Bombino, and Stereo Reform"

"Last but not least, Stereo Reform's forthcoming album The Future Started Yesterday. We got an advanced copy of the Greenville band's LP, and it's primo dance rock, the kind that has made Adam Levine a motherfucking millionaire and a guy who gets more ass than George Clooney, John Mayer, and Oscar Mayer combined. Make no mistake, the lead off track "10 Miles From New York City" will get you laid." - Chris Haire - Charleston City Paper

"Stereo Reform’s Dance-Funk Jam Lands on the Future"

"Between the velvety disco groove of “Fire” and the cross of soul man swagger and pounding, robotic beats and electro-rock on “Lights Out Mama,” the production quality feels modern and lively, with hints of ’70s-era rawness. Detectable influences include elements of Quincy Jones’ earliest Michael Jackson sessions, George Clinton’s brassy work with Bootsy Collins and Red Hot Chili Peppers, anything from Prince’s vast catalog, and Nile Rodgers crisp recordings with Chic and Diana Ross. There’s a touch of hip-hop and Danger Mouse’s Gnarls Barkley and Gorillaz stuff, too." - Ballard Lesemann - Metronome Charleston

"The Future Started Yesterday"

This is the most exciting album by a local band that I’ve heard in years, and I’m not easily excited. But this got me going, and I haven’t stopped. - Stratton Lawrence - Published works and unpublished musings of a Southern rambler

"The Future Started Yesterday - Stereo Reform: Review"

"The Future Started Yesterday...pays homage to the old styles of yesteryear while embracing current technologies in a non-exploitative manner, giving it a timeless feel that's uncommon in the Pop landscape." - Mike Fye - Semper Fye Music Blog

"Interview with Marc Burrows 88.1 WSBF FM-Clemson"

“Stereo Reform is one of the most professional bands I have seen in this country. With the group consisting of extremely talented musicians, they put on one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen from an unsigned band. There is not one reason these guys shouldn’t be all over mainstream media.” - Marc Burrows

"Stereo Reform at Home Team"

“Stereo Reform is the funkiest trio to emerge in Charleston, blending both stage presence and raw, unadulterated talent. The flashback to the early 80’s funk of Red Hot Chili Peppers is as evident as their original tunes well written. Add their clever on-stage banter and Stereo Reform could be the best time of your life.” - Tony Mckie -Owner/Talent Buyer of Fiery Ron’s Home Team, Charleston, SC

Kids Like Us (Single) - 2016

The Future Started Yesterday - 2013 LP

Robots of Evolution - 2008 LP

Stereo Reform, the 80s infused electro-funk project, came into existence at the tail end of the 2000s. Founder and frontman, Neil Turner, put the first generation of the group together in Charleston, SC with a little help from Craigslist and MySpace (Many thanks to Tom and Craig of the interwebs). Initially drawing from Neil’s library of original tunes, Stereo Reform began as a Funk Rock band. SR relocated to Los Angeles and recorded a 10 song LP, Robots of Evolution, at Killingsworth Studios with producer and former Diffuser frontman, Tomas Costanza. The album, which was primarily featured on college and UK radio stations, was only commercially released online, but it served as a building block in the process of searching for the right sound, as well as fueling the band’s first national tour.

In 2013 SR released The Future Started Yesterday, recorded and produced by Atlanta’s Grammy Nominated Bravo Ocean Music Group. Neil, along with his former songwriting parter, worked more electronic and pop elements into the songs, and it paid off. The album earned SR a Pandora station, licensing deals with 6 television networks, 11 TV shows, as well as Nascar, Chipotle, Leaf TV and more.  The award winning music video for the song, Fire, gained the attention of Jeffery Katzenberg’s Youtube Nation and was featured in a 2014 segment with MSNBC’s Jacob Soborroff. Leonard Maltin gave The Future Started Yesterday two thumbs up during the album’s mention on the popular podcast Doug Loves Movies. And really, who can argue with Leonard Maltin? Answer: No one, that’s who.

After teaming up with Atlanta’s, Bravo Ocean Music Group, for a second time, Stereo Reform released a new single in late 2016. The song, Kids Like Us, and it’s award nominated music video, introduced fans to SR’s new direction, which more heavily embraced the synth and electronic sounds from the 1980s.

In the summer of 2017 SR released a new 3 song EP, PUMP CLASSIC.  Carrying the torch from Kids Like Us this EP features a neon pallet of retro sounds and synthesizers. Turner recorded with producer Danny Olguin, of the vapordance duo, Carpoolparty, on the hook heavy synthpop EP. The song GIVE ME THE NIGHT was featured and performed in an anti-bullying themed ballet at The Peace Center. The show ran for several nights and was a critical and commercial success.

The new single, RADIO LOVE, was released in November 2018. The music video will follow on 12/24/18.

You can find Stereo Reform on Pandora Radio, Spotify and many more online platforms.
