“I found this low-fi indie soundscape slightly riveting, slightly haunting
and full-on energizing. They lack comparison but I guess I could sum them up as the love child of Morrissey and The Stone Roses raised on a Radiohead tour bus.” -FreeNYC - FreeNYC.com

Bio

New York indie band STEREO STEREO began as an experiment between long-time friends. Over the years the group has taken its time to develop a sound free of pretense and rich in energy and authenticity. The band's name reflects their collaborative approach to songwriting; an approach that brings together multiple voices to create a bold and singular sound.

While continually drawing ideas from contemporaries in New York City, their sound will always be inspired by bands such as The Flaming Lips, The Clash, Supergrass, The Pixies, Happy Mondays, Joy Division, The Cure, Stone Roses, and U2.

STEREO STEREO's music has been featured in film, television, and radio; including The Tribeca Film Festival and The A&E Network. Recently, the band was selected to headline at Rockefeller Plaza in New York. This concert was broadcast internationally to Japan for TV Tokyo, as well as to all of the major U.S. networks.

STEREO STEREO also played the 2006 Concert for Clean Energy. This benefit show helped to create awareness for the Environmental Advocates of New York, a non-profit organization in Albany which works to create legislation for Green Issues. The band has also played The Walk for Hunger in Boston four years in a row on the Boston Common Main Stage. They have also played other benefit concerts for The Capital District Regional Food Bank in Albany, and City Harvest in New York.

STEREO STEREO has performed with national acts including Mobius Band, Action! Action!, A Flock of Seagulls and Slunt and has played a variety of festivals including:

o 2006 Concert for Clean Energy
o The Rockefeller Plaza Pop Rally
o The Rock and Roll Circus Spectacular in Coney Island
o Summer's Eve Rock Gala at the Bohemian Beer Garden
o Ohio Independent Film Festival's Summer Crush
