Stereo Strikes Back!

Stereo Strikes Back emerged around winter of 06-07 by the will of three high school friends. The band was originally founded on the modest hope of being local favorites in their hometown of Oak Forest, IL, however they changed direction after a northern Indiana radio show made their EP a regular shuffle in their program. They're all firm believers in the idea that by limiting their instruments to guitar, keyboards, and drums it forces them to go where other bands wouldn't and in turn, forces them to be different. SSB! plays almost exclusively original music, but have played covers for special interest shows. Their influences vary widly, from the organ driven sound's of Steppenwolf's 'Magic Carpet Ride', to the avante-guarde quirky guitar hooks of The Strokes 'Reptilia'. In the summer of 08' they put together a self-promoted tour and have played shows in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. To top last year, they are planning an east coast tour through the southern states this summer. In short, this amazingly gifted trio has the sound, attitude and appeal to make your show an awesome one.
