Stereo Transmitted disease has been moving very fast in the less than two years they have been a band. After meeting at a Vivid party in Soho, the band quickly found a common vision--to play hard rock the way it was supposed to be played; rude, from the gut and 110% real. Stereo Transmitted Disease was quickly notices by legendary rock producer/mixer Chris Lord-Alge, who mixed all of the songs for their debut album.
STD Has already been FEATURED IN FOUR WARNER BROS. MOVIES this year and is contracted for FIVE MORE next year!
They are also featured in both "Friday Morning Quarterbacks--2008 Artists to Watch" sampler discs which are distributed nationally to major radio programmers. Stereo Transmitted Disease was the only unsigned band on both FMBQ discs. Even in it's current "unmastered" state, songs from the debut album have already been garnering some major airplay.
Their live performances are very intense with an energy you only get from guys who have lived the life. STD takes you to a place where rock is alive and well--with a new group of lunatics to usher in a new sound for a new generation of hard rockers.
Stereo Transmitted Disease has played various House of Blues, Bowery Presents and Live Nation venues.
