Sterling

My name is Sterling Coker, but I go by Sterling. I'm based out of Royse City, Texas. I am an 18 year old acoustic singer and songwriter. My music is all about past experiences with girls, parents, and I sing about how I want my life to be. It all comes from the heart, and people can relate. Being in a small town there isn't much to do, so I play everyday. I have only been playing acoustic guitar for 2 years and have just started playing shows and recording. My influences range anywhere from the most known artists such as Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Nevershoutnever, The Weeknd, to the lesser known such as, Jonny Craig, Tyler Carter, Iron and Wine, Blackbear. But when it comes to my style, it's my own originality. Most of my chord structures are unorthodox, and not the same 4 chords over and over again. Also I throw in other instruments during recording to bring out the acoustic guitar. I've played music my whole life, and have played live shows, both acoustic, and other genres of music. My Ep called Ag released on November 1, 2013.
