STERR’s latest EP begins by interrogating the listener, asking, “Do you like the way it sounds?” Yes, yes I do. Very much. Their first track, Can’t Wait, exudes an uncanny, propitious confidence that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Instead of wasting time overlapping the music with junk lyrics, STERR is often content to jam – letting their music speak for itself. Unlike so many rookie bands today intent on carnally bombarding us, STERR’s music is well disciplined. Their six-minute epic, Goodbye is their best effort. This track encapsulates a sort of Collective Soul aura. The guitars and vocals offer plenty of conviction, culminating in an infectious supra-chorus: “I will not/ I will not/ Say goodbye.” I recommend presenting STERR to your Discman - Mars' Hill Newspaper, TWU

STERR is a band with passion and purpose. They want to make great music. They want to reach people.
Led by front man, Kris Dueck, STERR has entered the mainstream with a flare that’s all their own. STERR’s sound is a collaboration of each member’s individual creativity and talent. The results have been extraordinary.
Since winning CAMEO's (The Canadian Association for Musical Empowerment and Opportunity) award for "Best Band" in 2004, STERR has been keeping very busy. After opening for bands like Jefferson Starship, Blue Oyster Cult, Kutless and Hedley, the boys are ready to make 2007 the year they put their mark on the music industry.
STERR teamed up with Ryan McCallister (Ex-Frontman of Maverick Record's "Dakona") to engineer and produce their upcoming full length album. Once tracking was complete, STERR got in touch with Randy Staub (Metallica, Our Lady Peace, Avril Lavigne) who found the time to mix. The album is a perfect example of what STERR is capable of and shows promise of more good things to come. The album swells from hard and driving to nostalgic reflections on life and love. With a debut music video to come and plans for a Canadian tour, STERR is excited to share their music with the world.
