Bio
Steve Newsome is a proud, born and raised Albertan. Growing up in the foothills North West of Calgary, he now hangs his hat in Stony Plain, West of Edmonton. Those who’ve met Steve, know he is one hard working, motivated, and driven individual.
Opening for Canadian country superstar Brett Kissel, Steve got his first taste of the “big stage” in Spruce Grove, Alberta on July 7, 2016. With the hard work ethic of a true cowboy, he went on to open for iconic Canadian band Emerson Drive in 2017, and the legendary Terri Clark in Edmonton during the summer of 2019. Taking every chance presented to share and develop his music keeps Steve a hard workin’ man.
When you listen to his music, you’re bound to hear lyrics that evoke memories and take you back to the stories of your life; all while giving you the sound and feel of that true Nashville twang.
Jim Cressman, CEO and President of Invictus Entertainment Group says it best, “Steve is solid and marketable”.
Upcoming projects for this ISSA Award winning artist include the release of his sophomore EP entitled Try Somethin’ Different with the track of the same name being released to radio in the spring of 2019. Also, on the new disc are four Steve Newsome originals, including an acoustic solo of Built From Ruin. Rounding out the track list is a Willie Mack original, One Good Radio.
