Steve Parke

Born and raised in Western Kansas on a farm and ranch, I now live in Pueblo West, Colorado. Singing and playing the guitar has been part of my life since the earliest of rural country school years. All of this was for the fun of it as well as a part of the social and cultural environment.  By the early 70's I was leading church worship music.  I started writing songs in 1988.  In about 2004 I decided to focus on song writing in my musical efforts.  By 2009 I'd finished my first CD, "Season", and in 2013 the second, "Windswept Mercy".   I currently help host an Open Mic at the Pueblo West VFW and perform for various local benefits and events and a local coffee shop, The Daily Grind, as the local folk singer.  I played at the Pueblo Chile Festival in 2013 and have performed my historical story songs for similarly oriented conference events.  Through this Sonicbids band page, I am promoting my current effort, "Windswept Mercy".  More about me and all of songs can be found on my personal webpage, www.parkeplacemusic.com.
