Lyrics

The Man who changed the world

Written By: Steve David

(Verse 1)
I want to know the reason
Why it takes a bomb to get us back on track
Innocents is reason enough to know that
Time can't be turned back
(Pre-Chorus)
I just want to be
The one who changed the future
And I just want to be
The one you look up to
(Chorus)
The Man who changed your world
The Man who changed your world
The Man who changed the World
And made it Peaceful
And made it Peaceful
(Verse 2)
I want to hear you breathing,
Inhaling all the dust that brought you back
A medal to believe in,
For all the pain was worth the broken back
(Pre-Chorus)
I just want to be
The one who changed the future
And I just want to be
The one you look up to
(Chorus)
The Man who changed your world
The Man who changed your world
The Man who changed the World
And made it Peaceful
And made it Peaceful
(Bridge)
I don’t want to be just a wanna –be
That you know.
All that’s meant to be, should be set free
That I know.

Take me in

Take me in – Written by Steve David

Jamie holds out his hand
Do you got some change to spare
Jamie holds out an empty can
That shows how much we care

Will you take me in tonight?
It's been three long years without a life

I've been down
I've been pushed around
Can't take anymore
I need a change and I need it now
Can't take anymore
Will you take me in tonight?

It's crazy out in the cold
And no place to call your own
Maybe someone will see
And show their heart is warm

Will you take me in tonight?
It's been three long years without a life

I've been down
I've been pushed around
Can't take anymore
I need a change and I need it now
Can't take anymore
Will you take me in tonight?

Rocky Days
Words and Music written by
Steve David
Length: 3:10
Performance:
Guitars and Vocals: Steve David Drums: Angelo Petovello Bass: Tom Gourlie

Steve’s comments: What I like most about this song is the way it builds until the end. I decided against writing in an extra bridge and lead guitar solo part for this song. It sounded good & simple as is.

LYRICS:
Those lonely nights will go away,
Now that I’m clean again,
Some rocky days, have come and gone,
We got through all of them, ok

But if I fall, will you be there
To pick me up again
And when I fall, will you be there
To lift me up again

All the signs, were there in front of me
But I chose to look away
All my friends just seemed to disappear,
When the fix was gone

But if I fall, will you be there
To pick me up again
And when I fall, will you be there
To lift me up again

Solo Break –
Chorus
End.
