Bio

Too many of us live day-to-day, never knowing what direction we want to run in life. Not Steve Larsen. He discovered his path at age 9 when he purchased his first guitar from a neighbor's garage sale. Since then he has steadily moved toward a career in music.

Raised in Regina as the youngest of a large busy family, Steve's favorite escape was to practice his guitar alone. But he couldn't stay hidden for long; his talent was gaining attention. Before Steve was 16 he was the front man for 'Calling Joshua'. The band toured throughout Canada and released an EP, with the song "Footsteps" receiving radio play across the country. The success Steve tasted with this band further confirmed that this was the life for him.

By early 2007 Steve was ready to try music as a solo artist. He released a self-titled EP with 3 songs, the first being "Through the Winter" which became his province's pick for the Canadian Radio Star songwriting competition. This allowed Steve to play in Toronto before Canada's music elite during a showcase for Canadian Music Week.

Steve's journey continues to be exciting. January 2009 sees the release of his full length album titled "Linear" - the culmination of a year spent learning, writing, and in the studio. Nearly 1000 copies of the CD have already been pre-ordered, many from the simple belief that his songs will become favorites. Steve will be busy touring again, wherever the road can take him. One thing is sure: this is the right direction for him.
