Steve Lucas is a singer/songwriter who performs in and around Birmingham, Alabama. He performs songs in the Country, Classic Rock, Folk, and Bluegrass genres. His influences include, but are not limited to: John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Steve Earle, and Ryan Adams. Steve has blended talent, skill, and professionalism into a commanding stage presence. With mesmerizing musical arrangements and a powerful delivery, Steve intends to firmly establish his foothold in the music industry.

Steve performs regularly in nightclubs and restaurants in the Birmingham, AL area and is also available for wedding receptions and private events. He has also begun to extend his travel destinations to include playing shows throughout the Southeast and Midwest. After attending one of Steve�s performances at Molly Maguire�s in Cincinnati, folk legend Dave Hawkins offered Steve a spot as his opening act on the strength of that show alone.

Steve began playing drums when he was 10 years old, and singing tenor at the age of 14 with the choir of the First Baptist Church of Springville, AL. When he graduated high school, He was an intern percussionist with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. After many years of playing drums in various bands, Steve decided to try his hand at playing guitar in 2002. In just a few months, He had written his first song, �Rachel�s Diary�. He immediately began taking every opportunity to play live as a performing songwriter. He has performed at outdoor music festivals, coffee shops, house concerts, restaurants, bars, and wedding receptions. Steve is a founding member and drummer of the rock cover band Feverdog, and also an Associate Member of the Nashville Songwriter�s Association International where he aspires to acquire a staff writing position with a major record label.

Steve has performed at such venues as The Bluebird Caf�, Local Color Caf�, The Gulf, and Neighborhood Sports Bar among others and has spent years perfecting his chosen craft. Delivering passion and sincerity with melodies born of musical excellence, this artist and musician weaves a tapestry of sound intended to develop a devout local following and regional fan-base.

I typically perform 3, 1-hour long sets with breaks in between. Normally a set contains 70% cover songs and 30% original songs, but that can be adapted according to the venue. Here is a list of typical covers:
