Bio

Using the transformative nature of music is what gets Steve out of bed each day, (and sometimes in the middle of the night). Writing Custom Compositions (www.CustomComposer.com), along with performing at great listening venues is what gives him wonderful, connecting and inspiring musical energy.

People say Steve reminds them of a mix of James Taylor, John Denver and even Cat Stevens, (All three are favorites of his.)

Other musical hero's? Shawn Colvin, the Beatles, Kenny Rankin, Carol King, Bare Naked Ladies, Willy Porter to name just a few.

Proud Music Moments? Involvement with the Make-a-Wish Foundation through playing a number of their events; writing the theme song for the Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation, one for Art with Heart and an American Cancer Society "Relay for Life". In addition, writing a number of Custom Compositions for people that seem to have touched their lives has been inspiring, e.g. Babe and Angel, Wash Over You, The Smile in You and many more.

Steve's History? Raised all over; California, Connecticutt, Kentucky and Washington state. First guitar at age of eight, (He thought he'd won the eight year old's lottery!) First song was Steve's Tune - on the violin - played with 200 piece orchestra at an assembly when he about 10, (His musical addiction began). Steve co-founded the Seattle band "The Hooters"; they played for nearly 20 years with the same 5 guys in addition to some great horn players.
