Steven Guerrero is a solo bassist/ live loop artist living in the Midwest. He has been playing bass for 20+ years. Steven describes himself as an extended range bassist, going beyond what is expected of the bass as an instrument. The extended range bass allows for deeper sounds and a fuller range of tonal possibilities; that, coupled with the ability to loop provides the listener with a rich listening experience. With Steven’s admiration of the intricate playing found in progressive metal/rock and his use of layering and time, the loop becomes another instrument in his creation of soundscapes. The end result is one that excites the imagination.

Steven’s music can be described as elegant, ethereal, experimental and rockin... His soundscapes are innovative repetitions for active meditation.

Steven is a contributing member of the CT Collective
(Chain Tape Collective), the bassist for the experimental progressive rock band Glass Bead Game and is an avid fan of giant monster movies.
For Steven being a bassist means belonging to a brotherhood with a long, rich and complex history.
