Bio

Steven Michael Pague
a performer, singer and songwriter, has recorded his own songs since the late 60’s, first for Gene Pitney’s label, Musicor, and then on Mercury Records. The independent recordings began in Boston in 1980 with an LP, “Watch the Ocean Roll”. His traveling and performing live has taken him across Europe, into Asia, from Maine to Key West, across the US, into Central and South America, aboard island destined cruise ships, and onto the Virgin Islands. Steven has shared his music and songs in coffee houses and bars, in concert halls and at festivals, taverns and pubs, in churches, on street corners and in hospitals. He has sung his songs to open concerts for, Traffic, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker, Emmy Lou Harris, Herbie Mann, Richie Havens and more.
His works express the true commonalities of the experience of being human; feeling, dreaming, waking, wanting, needing, hoping, loving, losing, finding oneself, letting go, and being thankful, are woven consistently throughout his songs.
As a skilled performing musician, songwriter, group facilitator, and educator Steven Michael Pague is also a founding staff member and long-time faculty at the Omega Institute, and codirector of Omega's Caribbean program for more than 25 years. As staff with The Tracking Project, he has helped bring its programs of natural and cultural awareness to people all over the world. He is also a certified instructor of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi.
"The Wheel of This Moment", the latest release, is a tastefully collected mix of Steven’s music, allowing it to be played in many different settings. Some songs recollected from the past and others brought forth for the first time, really give a sense of how long he has been creating his music. The diversity of this CD makes a space for many different listeners, such as: dance, quiet listening, sing alongs, and inner contemplations. The title truly speaks for what it is.
