Steven Rafael

Raised in Southern California, Steven was drawn into music at a very young age. His dad, a professional drummer, would constantly take him to shows and sessions. Then one day at the age of 16 he picked up an acoustic guitar, and fell in love. "It was then I started taking lessons for everything singing, playing, it was a very crazy time " Steven says.

After learning to find his own voice, apart from his influences like The Dave Matthew's Band, David Gray, and Beck. Steven formed his own band, Playing clubs all over "It was a fun experience, I try very hard to come across as touchable like the person in the audience, not the icon on stage"

After three years the band went thier separate ways. And Steven decided to go solo, now with his new back up band and acoustic guitar, he his playing once again.

Besides music Steven at the same time was taking graphic art classes. And is now a professional graphic artist. "I've always loved art, and music, ever since I was a kid, I was born with it".

Steven's passion for music is evident in his latest grass roots CD Live this Life. It showcases songs that range from pop, to rock. With catchy hooks, honest lyrics and smooth vocals, this young artist is one to watch.
